Super Bowl birthday party

By | February 10, 2012

Last weekend I hosted a Super Bowl birthday party for my mom.  Lucky for me red is her favorite color so I was able to incorporate my Valentine’s Day gingerbread house and my red place mats.  In addition to the birthday cake, we also had oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (I got the recipe from The Treats Truck cookbook), and rice crispy treats.

We also had chips, cheese & crackers and other snacks that I set out on the Astroturf football field tablecloth.  It was really simple to make. If you want directions just leave me a comment.

Before I put the yard lines on the AstroTurf I measured everything out on a brown piece of paper that I had left over from painting my daughter’s room.  I flipped that paper over when I was done and drew up a football pool chart.  We split up the 100 squares evenly and wrote our names in them.  The winners got See’s candy.

Prizes for the winners, my one and a half year old nephew won the final score!
